Online spending

By default, Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard cardholders can enjoy HKD4= 1 for all online and overseas spending, so you’ll want to add your Cathay Mastercard to all your favourite shopping apps and sites, if you haven’t done so already.

Travel

Naturally, you can earn miles each time you book flights with HK Express or Cathay Pacific using your Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard at an earn rate of up to HKD2 = 1 – paying it forward for your future travel plans. This earn rate applies to duty free items too, so you can ensure any last-minute holiday shopping doesn’t go unrewarded. 

That's thanks to our recurring Extra Miles offer: from now till 31 December 2023, for every accumulated eligible spend of HK$8,000 on Cathay and HK Express, cardholders can earn an extra 2,000 on top of the 2,000 earned at HKD4 = 1 as online spending. Hence, that’s 4,000 miles in your pocket for a single purchase, equivalent to HKD2 = 1.

Referrals

Looking for other ways to spread the love? From now till 30 November 2023, existing Standard Chartered Cathay Mastercard holders who successfully refer their friends or family to apply for a card will receive 2,000 for each referral, up to 40,000. Referred friends or family who newly apply for a card during the promotion period, receive card approval on or before 31 December 2023 and make at least one transaction within 30 days upon card issuance, can in turn receive up to an extra 10,000.
