Maldives Tax Refund

The following taxes are applicable for customers departing from Velana International Airport, Malé (MLE).

Airport Development Fee (H9) listed below have been effective and applied on tickets issued on/after 01 February 2017 for travel on/after 01 May 2017:

• Non-nationals of Maldives – USD 25
• Maldives nationals – USD 12

Maldives Airport Fees (BQ) listed below have been effective and applied on tickets issued on/after 13 May 2014 for travel on/after 01 July 2014:

• Non-nationals of Maldives – USD 25
• Maldives nationals – USD 12

If you are a Maldives national / Maldives passport holder and have paid the H9 and BQ taxes in full (USD 25 each), you are entitled to apply for a refund of the tax difference.
