What are the earliest and latest times that I can check in and collect my boarding pass?

In Hong Kong,:

• our self-service kiosks at Hong Kong International Airport open 24 hours prior and close sharply 60 minutes before your flight departure. We recommend allowing additional time to complete check-in, print your baggage tags and to use the self-bag drop machines.
• our in-town check-in service at Hong Kong and Kowloon Airport Express stations opens at 6am daily. You can check in between 24 hours prior and 90 minutes to your scheduled departure time.

At all other airports*, check-in closes at 60 minutes prior to departure, however, to ensure there is sufficient time to complete document checks, our kiosks close at 70 minutes prior to departure. If you arrive at the airport between 70 and 60 minutes to departure, please proceed directly to our check-in counters where our airport team will be happy to assist.

*Please note there are a small number of exceptions:

• The Chinese Mainland

Check-in counter closure times will vary between 60 minutes and 40 minutes prior to departure, as mandated by local airport authorities. Please check your pre-departure emails or our airport pages for the closure time for your departure airport.

• France

Paris (CDG): check-in will continue to close 75 minutes prior to departure due to the infrastructure limitations of Terminal 1.

• Vietnam

Hanoi (HAN) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN): check-in will continue to close 50 minutes prior to departure, as mandated by the local airport authorities.
