We’re on a mission to move people forward sustainably and responsibly, ensuring a better future for generations to come. We’re proud to be leading the charge with our sustainability initiatives, such as our investment in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and we’re determined to be more mindful of the resources we use in every aspect of our operations.
We have big ambitions, but we can’t do it alone: it’s only through working with our partners, people and passengers that we can build a more sustainable future. Join us on our journey to be greener together.
We’ve committed to using SAF for 10% of Cathay Pacific Airways’ jet fuel consumption by 2030.
We set a new near-term decarbonisation target by improving carbon intensity by 12% from the 2019 level by 2030, bringing the number from 761 gCO2/RTK to 670 gCO2/RTK.
In 2014 we became the first airline to invest in the technology that produces SAF from municipal waste. We launched Asia’s first major Corporate SAF programme in 2022.
We set a new target to decrease passenger-facing single-use plastics items from an average of 7.7 pieces per passenger in 2019 to 1.5 pieces by 2025.
We pledge to reduce cabin waste to 0.63 kg per passenger by 2030, representing a 30% reduction from 2019 baseline.
