Betsy flies again
Pale ale handcrafted for 35,000 feet
Named after our first aircraft, the all-new Betsy beer embodies the dedication, spirit and ingenuity integral to the Cathay Pacific story. Flavours of mandarin orange have been lovingly tuned for altitude; with the finest barley and hops, carefully balanced for depth and aroma. The result is a craft pale ale that tastes great anywhere, but really takes off at 35,000 feet.
The spirit of Betsy lives on
Watch as the all-new Betsy beer takes to the skies.
Based on our original aircraft
500,000 rivets, 700,000 separate parts, and 6,000 craftsmen – that was the dedication that went into building a Douglas DC-3 in the 1940s. Engineered with the same level of care, this pale ale is a homage to the heart and soul poured into the original Betsy.
Get a taste of travel
We know that flying can dull your senses – that’s why we’ve carefully selected ingredients that soar. Slightly roasted barley creates toffee and biscuit notes; Hong Kong mandarin peel, added to the boil, gives a distinct citrus aroma. The result is a perfectly balanced pale ale that can be enjoyed both on the ground or in the air.
