Visually impaired passengers

Details about how visually impaired passengers can enjoy a more comfortable travel experience

Travelling with a visual impairment

If you are travelling on a Cathay Pacific flight and have a service dog that you wish to travel alongside you, please contact Customer Care. You can also find out more in our service animals section.

If you use a cane or other assistive device you may carry it onto the plane provided it can be stowed under your seat or in the overhead compartment. When placing the cane under your seat, lie it flat on the floor making sure it does not block any emergency exit or stick out into the aisle.

Our cabin crew will be pleased to assist you to load and retrieve your cane if it is not collapsible or if it cannot be stowed under your seat. All such assistive devices will be carried free of charge.
