法人企業向けSAF（持続可能な航空燃料）プログラム

「法人企業向けSAF（持続可能な航空燃料）プログラム」は、気候変動と闘うという弊社の継続的な取り組みの一環であり、アジアで先駆けとなる取り組みです。法人のお客様からの資金援助により、本拠地である香港国際空港から出発するフライトに初めてSAFを提供できるようになりました。弊社はまた、SAFの利用を拡大し、海外でのSAFを強化しています。

SAFとは？

SAFとは、特に長距離路線で運航する航空会社にとって、今後数十年間で脱炭素化を進めるための最も重要な方法のひとつです。SAFは再生可能資源および廃棄物から作られているため、使用する技術によっては、従来のジェット燃料と比較して、ライフサイクルにおける二酸化炭素排出量を80%以上削減できる可能性があります。弊社は2030年までに燃料消費量の10%をSAFでまかなうよう尽力しています。これは、2050年までに二酸化炭素の排出量をネットゼロにするというコミットメントの一部です。

皆で力を合わせれば、出張旅行や航空輸送で発生する二酸化炭素排出量を削減し、航空における再生可能エネルギーへの移行を主導することができます。

プログラムの仕組み

キャセイパシフィックの法人企業向けSAFプログラムは、持続可能な航空への世界的な移行を促進すると同時に、スコープ3の排出量削減に関する明確な記録をお客様に提供します。

弊社が調達するSAFは、国際的に認知されている持続可能性基準により認証されています。*
お客様は、キャセイパシフィックおよびキャセイカーゴのフライトご利用によってSAF利用の推進に貢献します。
フライトの運航には、標準的な化石ジェット燃料の代わりにSAFを利用します。
弊社は、出張旅行や貨物輸送におけるスコープ3の二酸化炭素排出量削減に取り組む企業をお手伝いするため、認定つきの排出量削減証明書および第三者機関による保証書を発行します。これには、航空関連の間接的な排出量に対する部門ごとの排出量削減を目的としたScience Based Targetsイニシアティブ（SBTi）の取り組みが含まれます。

* EU再生可能エネルギー指令、持続可能なバイオ燃料に関する円卓会議（RSB）、国際持続可能性カーボン認証（ISCC）システムなど。
